"The inserts reduce inflammation in my 45 year old knees after running up and down the court for two hours twice a week. Highly recommend them."
"These saved my soul(s)! I use these in my roller skates and the high impact I take from jumping stairs and gaps was doing a number on me with the poor insoles I had in before. Now every time I land from a high jump it actually feels GOOD. Thank you so much OBT :)"
"I recently got into skateboarding at the tender young age of 38, and apparently I've never used my ankles before! Poor form and lack of strong ankles had my feet killing me every day. I put a pair of these babys in, and boy, the difference is like night and day. Especially helped with my bruised heel."
Basketball Insoles for Jumping, Landing and Cutting
Basketball asks a lot of your feet in short, hard bursts: sprinting the floor, going up for boards, landing in traffic and planting to change direction. Hardwood doesn't give much back, and plenty of basketball shoes put their tech in the midsole and leave a thin sock liner on top.
Games and Practice: Shock Absorbing Foot Insoles
The Shock Absorbing Foot Insoles are the court pick. Cushioned PU memory foam softens every landing, and a molded TPU arch support and heel cup keep your foot sitting steady in the shoe when you plant and cut. At about 6mm at the heel and 4mm at the forefoot, they fit most basketball shoes, high-tops or lows, without sizing up. The antimicrobial top layer fights odor, which your gym bag will appreciate.
Off the Court: All Day Foot Insoles
For school, work and everything between games, the All Day Foot Insoles bring a contoured, orthopedic-grade arch and EVA foam cushioning to your everyday shoes. The 2-Pack gets you one pair of each.
Custom Orthotics or Off-the-Shelf?
These are off-the-shelf insoles, sized by shoe size and trimmed to fit, not custom-molded orthotics. If a healthcare provider has prescribed custom orthotics for a foot condition, stick with those.
Your ankles and knees take the same pounding. Our basketball ankle braces fit inside your sneakers, and our basketball knee braces run from a slim sleeve to springs and hinges.
FAQs
What are the best insoles for basketball?
Look for cushioning that softens landings plus a heel cup and arch support that keep your foot stable when you cut. Our Shock Absorbing Foot Insoles combine PU memory foam with a molded TPU arch support and heel cup, and they're thin enough for most basketball shoes. For the shoes you wear off the court, the All Day Foot Insoles focus on arch support for walking and standing.
Do insoles fit in basketball shoes?
Most basketball shoes, high-tops included, have a removable sock liner. Pull it out and drop the insole in; don't stack it on top of the old one. Order by shoe size, and if you're between sizes, go larger and trim along the guidelines on the bottom.
Are these custom basketball orthotics?
No. They're off-the-shelf insoles in S through 2XL that you trim to your shoe, not orthotics molded to your foot. They're a good upgrade over a stock liner, but if a healthcare provider has prescribed custom orthotics, keep wearing those.
Will insoles help with rolled ankles in basketball?
An insole works under your foot, not around your ankle. The heel cup helps keep your heel seated in the shoe, but it isn't ankle support. If you roll your ankles, pair your insoles with an ankle sleeve and ask your athletic trainer or healthcare provider whether you need something more rigid.
