Shin and Calf Support

Pedal strikes, board-to-shin hits and miles on hard ground all land on your lower legs. The Compression Shin Sleeve pairs a knitted compression sleeve with a neoprene pad that sits over the shinbone. It stops at the ankle, so your own socks and shoes stay the same.

After a session, the Ice Sleeve is built for the knee but flexible enough to move down to the calf, wrapping cold or heat around it hands-free for 15 to 20 minutes. For how the sleeve compares with compression socks, see our calf compression sleeves, and for every joint, the full ice sleeves collection.

FAQs

Is the Compression Shin Sleeve a shin guard?

It's a compression sleeve with a neoprene pad over the shin, so it takes the sting out of pedal strikes and board hits. It isn't a hard-shell guard like the ones worn for soccer, and it's slim enough that riders forget it's on.

Can I ice my shins or calves with the Ice Sleeve?

Yes. It's built for the knee, but the gel stays flexible when frozen, so it can move down to the calf. Freeze it for at least 2 hours, keep each session to 15 to 20 minutes, and leave a break between sessions. It can also be warmed for heat; follow the instructions that come with it.
